પ્રોહીની બદી નાબુદ કરવા માટેની પોતાના ઉપરી અધિકારીઓની સુચના મુજબ દાહોદ એસ.ઓ.જી. શાખાના જવાબદાર પોલિસ અધિકારીઓ તથા તેમના તાબાના પોલિસ કર્મીઓએ ઈન્દોર હાઈવેથી રળીયાતી તરફ જતાં રોડના ફાંટા પર ગોઠવેલ વોચ દરમ્યાન મધ્યપ્રદેશ તરફથી આવતી એસ.ટી. બસમાંથી રૂપિયા ૪૨ હજાર ઉપરાંતની કિંમતનો વિદેશી દારૂ ભરેલ થેલાઓ સાથે એક ઈસમને પકડી પાડી તેની પાસેથી રૂપિયા ૫૦૦૦ની કિંમતનો મોબાઈલ ફોન ઝડપી પાડી કુલ રૂપિયા ૪૭,૧૮૦નો મુદ્દામાલ કબજે લીધાનું જાણવા મળ્યું છે.
છેલ્લા કેટલાયે સમયથી દાહોદમાં વકરી રહેલી દારૂની બદીને નેસ્ત નાબુદ કરવાની પોતાના ઉપરી અધિકારીઓની સુચનાથી દાહોદ એસ.ઓ.જી. શાખાના પી.આઈ. આર.સી.કાનમીયા, પી.એસ.આઈ જે.બી. ધનેશા તથા તેમના સ્ટાફના પોલિસ કર્મીઓ દાહોદ ટાઉન એ.ડિવિઝન પોલિસ સ્ટેશન વિસ્તારમાં પેટ્રોલીંગમાં હતા તે વખતે પોલીસ કોન્સ્ટેબલ રાકેશકુમાર વસનાભાઈને ખાનગી બાતમીદાર તરફથી બાતમી મળી હતી કે, ઝાબુઆથી દાહોદ આવતી જીજે-૧૮ ઝેડ-૩૭૪૭ નંબરની એસ.ટી.બસમાં પરપ્રાંતીય ઈંગ્લીશ દારૂનો જથ્થો આવનાર છે. જે બાતમીના આધારે દાહોદ એસ.ઓ.જી શાખાના ઉપરોક્ત અધિકારીઓ તથા કર્મચારીઓએ ઈન્દૌર હાઈવેથી રળીયાતી તરફ જતાં રોડના ફાંટા પર વ્યુહાત્મક વોચ ગોઠવી હતી અને પોતાના શિકારની રાહ જાેતા હતા તે દરમ્યાન બાતમીમા દર્શાવેલ ઉપરોક્ત નંબરવાળી ઝાબુઆથી દાહોદ આવતી બસ દુરથી જ નજરે પડતાં વોચમાં ઉભેલ પોલિસ સાબદી બની હતી અને બસ નજીક આવતાં જ પોલિસે રોકી બસમાં તપાસ કરતા એક ઈસમ પાછળના ભાગે હાથમાં થેલો લઈ આઘો પાછો થતાં પોલિસને તેની હીલચાલ શંકાસ્પદ લાગતા તેની તપાસ કરતા સદરહું ઈસમે માલ-સામાનની આડમાં એક પ્લાસ્ટીકની મીણીયા થેલી તથા બીજા થેલાઓમાં વિદેશી દારૂ-બીયરનો જથ્થો રાખ્યો હોવાનું જણાઈ આવતાં પોલિસે ગોવા વ્હીસ્કીના ૭૫૦ મીલીની બોટલ નંગ-૧૨૨, રોયલ સ્ટેશ્યલ સઈન વ્હીસ્કીની ૧૮૦ મીલીની બોટલ નંગ-૨૨૩, કીંગ ફીશર એકસ્ટ્રા સ્ટ્રોંગ પ્રીમીયમ બીયરના ૫૦૦ મીલીના ટીન નંગ-૨૪ મળી રૂા. ૪૨,૧૮૦ની કુલ કિંમતની બોટલ નંગ-૩૬૯ પકડી પાડી તે ઈસમની અટક કરી તેની પાસેથી રૂા. ૫૦૦૦ની કિંમતનો મોબાઈલ ફોન મળી કુલ રૂા. ૪૭,૧૮૦નો મુદ્દામાલ પકડી પાડી કબજે લઈ તે ઈસમને અત્રેની કચેરીએ લાવી પુછપરછ કરતા તેને પોતાનિું નામ અજયભાઈ નરસુભાઈ માવી રહેવાસી, વરમખેડા, માવી ફળિયા તા. દાહોદ હોવાનું જણાવતાં સદરહું આરોપીને ઈંગ્લીશ દારૂના જથ્થા સાથે દાહોદ ટાઉન એ.ડીવીઝન પોલિસને સુપરત કરતા ટાઉન પોલિસે તેના વિરૂધ્ધ પ્રોહીનો ગુનો નોંધી આગળની કાર્યવાહી હાથ ધરી છે.
